- Samir S. Shah MD (Author), MD has a dual fellowship in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at The Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia. He graduated from Yale University Medical School and has a Bachelor?s from University of Pennsylvania. He has authored numerous journal articles and was a contributor to Blueprints in Pediatrics.
- Brian Alverson MD (Author). Dr. Alverson trained at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and attended his pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he stayed for a year as Chief Resident. His research and writing focus on inpatient management of pediatric respiratory conditions, medical education, and the emerging specialty area of pediatric hospital medicine. Dr. Alverson is the Director of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Hasbro Children's Hospital. He is also the Director of Undergraduate Pediatric Education at the Alpert School of Medicine. Nationally, Dr. Alverson is previous chair of the Section on Hospital Medicine for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served on two guidelines panels and has conducted several clinical studies on pediatric bronchiolitis. As an educator, Dr. Alverson has won over twenty awards for teaching, including more than a dozen teaching awards at Brown University. He has served on innumerable committees both at Hasbro Children's Hospital and at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine.
