  • Michael Lieberman is certified by the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology, a qualification for being a High Complexity Laboratory Director by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Lieberman is also licensed by the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Health as a Clinical Laboratory Director. Liberman previously served as the laboratory director for Aloha Toxicology Laboratory in Honolulu where he oversaw the successful CLIA Certificate of Compliance process for the lab. Under Libermanʻs leadership, the Aloha Toxicology Lab also expanded services from offering only toxicology screening (FDA approved for IVD) to include confirmatory testing. This expansion required full-scale validations prior to patient testing. Lieberman devised and directed these tests, analyzed resulting data, and developed detailed validation reports. Liberman also served as the laboratory director of the clinical microbiology and immunology sections in the Department of Pathology at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. In this role Liberman was responsible for all microbiology and immunology clinical specimen testing as well as providing in-service and laboratory based training for pathology residents. He also oversaw the lab’s successful accreditation inspection by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and established partnerships for clinical research on infectious diseases
